WARNING: This snapshot is not an Opera Next build. It will default to upgrading your stable Opera.


Instructions to prevent you upgrading your stable Opera installation

If you would like to install this build alongside your stable Opera installation please refer to this detailed guide.

Alternatively here is a short summary:

  1. Mount the disk image, and drag the Opera application bundle to a temporary location on your hard drive (do not replace the main install).
  2. Rename the application bundle to "Opera 11.6.app" (use ⌘+I to bring up the "Get Info" dialog to rename).
  3. Move "Opera 11.6.app" into the main Applications folder.
  4. Open a Terminal (you can search for it using Spotlight) and issue the following command: 
/Applications/Opera\ 11.6.app/Contents/MacOS/Opera -csp

Notes: You will only need to do the last step once, subsequent builds can just be renamed to "Opera 11.6.app". If you use a different name it will fail.
